Round 3: POTR & Weekend Wrap-up

With a mixed bag on the weekend, of games, bye's, grading games and cancellations, we only saw 3 of our 5 teams take the field this weekend.

Regardless of the fact, we saw some excellent cricket from those who played and we would like to congratulate the following players for their excellent performances. As a small token of celebrations, the players below will be shouted to "celebratory dinner" this week after Thursday's training by the club executive!

MEN'S 1ST XI

Bowing:

8 Overs, 2 Maidens, 4/25

MATCH RESULT: LOSS

Richmond City (158) were defeated by East Malvern Tooronga (5/200)

WOMEN'S 1ST XI

Grace Webster

Batting:

10 (not out) in both games

Special mention by the Senior Coach of Grace's reverse sweep that ran to the boundary for 4!

MATCH RESULTS: GAME 1 - WIN / GAME 2 - LOSS

GAME 1: Richmond City (5/52) defeated Glen Waverley (6/33)

GAME 2: Richmond City (3/49) were defeated by EMT (3/55)

MEN'S 2ND XI: CANCELLED

Unfortunately, due to a covid scare from the opposition, the game was cancelled.

For those who might be concerned, NO Richmond City players were in contact with any of those who were deemed as "close contacts" as the game was cancelled the night before.
