Sizzling day at Bunnings Hawthorn

A huge thank you to those who worked on the Bunnings BBQ today. It’s a tough call getting assigned a fundraiser like this so close to Christmas, and with our two women's teams schedule to play that afternoon as well… but we had a great turnout and raised some fantastic funds for the club.
Just some stats from the day to put it in perspective…

We
- cooked 65kg of snags & 20kg of onions
- served 25 loaves of bread
- went through 20L of condiments
- handed out over 600 serviettes
- sold over 100 cans of drink
The biggest order was 11 sausages with onions
The comment of the day goes to a young boy, who when asked if he wanted onions on his snag l, responded with ‘are they caramelized?’


Thank you goes out to Francesca O'Brien, Prue Pisani, Josh Clarke, Heath Chipperfield, Davis, Estelita, Terrance Lieschke, Michael Kwasny, James Johnstone & Coco for coming down to work the booth, you guys are amazing!
A huge thank you to Leanne Fletcher for sourcing us all the snags, onions, drinks, and all the other bits and pieces, you made organizing this fundraiser so smooth and hassle-free… you are a superstar!

And finally, our endless thanks to Ben Phelps, the man behind the grill who cooked all day. You, sir, are an absolute superstar!
These fundraisers are an important element of our annual club functions and it helps not only to raise money for our club but also spreads the word about the club to the wider community. Thank you all for giving up your time to support this cause.
